Warren Street sweeps up at the Eddie Coyle “Easy Does It” Relays

On Sunday, March 25, 2007, WS won the open men and master’s men divisions of the Eddie Coyle Relays.  The open men relay winners were Matt Wilkinson, Mike Guastella, new member Cordis Stanfield, and Nick Lavacca.  The master’s “men” relay winners were Paul Thompson, Nick Lavacca, Jean Chodnicki-Stemm, and Joe Pascarella.  Our open “men’s” team of Jean Chodnicki-Stemm, new member Joyce Liao, Mike Guastella, and Kwok-Ming Cheng were fourth.  Overall, Warren Street’s Paul Thompson and Mike Guastella posted the days fastest one lap splits, although Paul’s was more impressive in that he had run the long leg.  The team took home nice  prizes for the two victorious teams, plus a bottle of vino tinto.

Warren Street is a double winner at the NYRR 8000

Despite the snow, ice, cold, and wind, Ed Gapak and Victoria Ganushina won the men’s and women’s overall at the NYRR 8000 on March 17, 2007.  The race was turned into a “fun run” and club points were not awarded for the Championship Series.  Congrats Ed and Victoria!
